About Bird Gap
Bird Gap is dedicated to the love of all things birds covering multiple aspects such as birding, popular culture, and conservation.
I’m a birder with a strong interest in animals and nature in general. The world of birding is vast, and I do my very best during the research and writing process.
My aim is to make all articles as factually possible by using authoritative sources (sites like Cornell University and The National Audubon Society) and reaching out to subject matter experts.
About Me

Hi, I’m Charles Lee and I created Bird Gap due to my love for birds. I’ve loved animals for over 40 years now, and while growing up we had dogs, cats, gerbils, and hamsters in our family.
As an adult, in 2006 I began volunteering at an animal shelter as a dog trainer, and then a few years later in 2009 I started my own dog walking business.
During this time a client lended me a book titled “Alex & Me” by author Irene Pepperberg. It completely changed my view of birds and opened up an entirely new world.
